About MMIX

Myanmar Internet Exchange (MMIX)

Established in September 2017 as Myanmar's First Internet Exchange Point, MMIX is a neutral, industry-owned Association that provides IP peering facilities for its members.

MMIX serves as Myanmar's peering hub, offering a centralized platform for internet service providers, content providers, and enterprises to exchange internet traffic locally. Our membership is open to all individuals and organizations that can benefit from peering their IP traffic.

By facilitating direct local traffic exchange, MMIX helps reduce international bandwidth costs, improve network performance, and enhance the overall internet experience for end-users in Myanmar.

MANRS

MMIX is committed to routing security and is a participant in the Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security (MANRS) initiative. MANRS is a global initiative that provides crucial fixes to reduce the most common routing threats through collaboration between participants. By implementing MANRS actions, MMIX contributes to a more resilient Internet infrastructure by helping to prevent route hijacking, route leaks, and other malicious activities.
